I used to draw and take photos. This dA account is basically dead since I don't do either of those very often anymore, but I do play in two bands, the Prophets of Impending Doom and Silent Duck, whose increasing recognition and adventures you can follow on their respective facebooks, which you can find by searching their names on facebook.Trumpeter, vocalist, F&E staff at Adelaide Oval. Ever so rarely... I was always like 50/50 art/music, but then drifted to 100% music.
I guess that sorta thing happens when you join up and start playing in two bands... Then you join a third, and then a fourth...
I'm starting up a fifth band, and a small 3-piece busking group too. So there's no time for art. Also I don't have a reliable CF card reader, or a working scanner. So you know, that doesn't really help the case either.
I do occasionally come on here to see people's reactions to finding my art after it was posted... what, anywhere up to 8 years ago, now? And also inform people of what I'm currently doing now that I've pretty much moved on from dA, and respond to comments, like I'm doing with yours.

I disappeared. I'm only back because I'm bored at 2.58am with nothing else to do.
Here is some news:
I'm having the best week of my life,
It's the last week of term, (just finished today, or rather yesterday, seeing as it's Thursday right now)
I got a Mac, massive thing it is too, it's beautiful.
I also have a girlfriend now, who I think is the most beautiful girl in the world.
...yeah.
Aaand I got a 'candy dispenser' in the shape of a Wii Remote. So yeah, life's great. how's you?

Um not sure, I have two albums lined up, we have to decide which to put out first.
One is "Our Album Is A Self-Titled One" and one "Surreal Tree."
Self-Titles one is supposed to be a massive mix, while Surreal Tree is going to be our best songs, such as Let My Heartbreak End (really complex song, "about a boy... and his lost love, a delicious chocolate pie."), Freddy The Alien, and My favourite, Turkey.
no waffles or pigs on it, although yes to a rap about sparrow thiefs stealing cookies, ska about cabbage trees, a full-on piece of heavy metal, and anger at trains.
Oh, and apple pie. oh yes.
If you took a count of serious songs out of the 50 or so we plan to rehearse over a year or so, you'll find, um, about five. ahaha
How much is a 'few'?
Our drummer is about 14. There's an age difference of three years over the whole band, and I'm the eldest. Surprise!

dude, to bad I don't live near you. (you said Adelaide) though I said I am a Blues girl I love all kinds of music, I want to form a band and applying for the "Big band" at school is just the next phase. But my friend and I want to start up a band.

I just finished year 12 and with it Big Band, definitely join the Big Band, being in a big band is one of the best things about school, I was trumpet 1 in the Big Band 2 at my school, which in my opinion is better than playing Big Band 1, the people in the bb2 were my friends for the most part unlike Big Band 1.
I've been a jazz player since I started playing, every time I practice I dig out the Bob Mintzer book and play a few songs from that.
Where do you live? There's always planes haha.
My band should be knocking together an album this year and then hopefully playing in a few places all around Australia (that's one big maybe though), so you know, you should see us live sometime, that would be sweet.

yes I am going for the big band on piano, the songs are hard but I can handle it. I really would love to play piano with the older kids. They know I can play as well as them, just the teacher.
I live near Brisbane. Small town, my school wins lost of music awards. I love the music program.
If you do get a album tell me! it would be cool. I know a lot of older jazz players and my mother has met some Blues and Jazz legends. Though this is awesome, I love to here younger people still love jazz Blues soul and many others

is it a special interest music school?
I went to Marryatville High School, which is one of two Special Interest Music schools in South Australia.
You must be pretty good at piano then.
You should totally move to Adelaide, and become Tangy Mangoes' pianist. We want a pianist, it'd be super cool to have you in the band.
My sister is on her way to become a jazz legend if she keeps going.
She played a massive solo at the Generations In Jazz competition in Mt Gambier, and as a result the judge gave her sax section Best Sax Section award, and offered her a professional gig. She got accepted into this good Big Band program at Tenneson Woods College in Mt Gambier too, but she doesn't wanna do it, because she had to do Year 13 and the Big Band thing would be too much like school for her, she said.
