I think, with regards to your other comment, those DL covers were among my first real exposure to high fantasy in art. And they've really stuck with me.

Larry Elmore was probably the first high fantasy artist I'd run across as well. I'm also a big fan of Keith Parkinson, who'd done some of my most favorite Raistlin paintings. I'd later noticed he'd done plenty of covers of other books I've loved. I only wish he was still with is to keep gracing us with more art. I loved how his work evolved with the times, while still staying true to some old school flavors. I can see that inspiration in your work too. :D (Big Grin)
