Ha ha ha! It's coming! It's just a busy time for us right now. Amanda Jr. (the one who handles the dA site) is studying in London right now, I'm working in Japan and other folks are moving around getting their lives settled right now too. n.n; But fear not! I am heading to AI this year for the first time. I always head to Natsucon, it was my first convention ever. So I been going to it since the first year they had it. I think they are having the masquerade on Saturday and a 18+ swimsuit competition on Sunday. I'll be competing in both as of now..lol

Whichever works best for you. There are some kids using light sticks that I plan to photograph, so I'll be out there as long as there is something to photograph. There is also some cosplay gatherings around 10 I plan to stick around for. Keep in mind that the sun doesn't set until about 8:00.

I've been doing some test shots using florescent paints. Looks good in low light. Even better with high intensity UV lights.

Do you have the brand name handy? Many paints tend to look muddy, spotty or will not have good coverage when applied. I don't know how good the coverage will be with body paint.
Have a look at this. I was thinking of using flesh coloured sleeves like these [link] covered in EL wire.
Also, have a look at these [link]
for the hair.
I work in electronics/computers so building this kind of stuff isn't even a challenge.

Oh I'm definitely using those for my hair! I bought them in bulk a long time ago. I need to see what colors I have left. I gave a few away.
The sleeves I worry about the styling, but I might try that out. It's a good idea.

Thanks for the tip, but frankly, they couldn't afford me. I took a 3 day photo assignment in San Diego last month that paid for a new camera, transportation and all of last year's cons.
