# About me

I spend a lot of my waking hours daydreaming. Creating and appreciating artwork is my escape from reality into the colorful realm of subconscious imagination, where the senses are free from always being governed by the mental restrictions of logic. Its allowing myself to see where subconscious thoughts lead me, not necessarily always formulating the creative means to an end ahead of time. Here, innate intuition and powerful emotion are the masters and motivators. I find it more powerful when I am surprised and delighted at the accidental revelations discovered hidden beneath the surface. These hidden personal symbols I discover within my work are the most meaningful and telling. They may not be clear right away, often times they make themselves known well after completion. The pursuit of creating beauty, pleasing visual harmony and passionate emotional expression is like an addictive drug that heals and restores. It is a cathartic and enlightening experience that enables one to explore places and thoughts within that we were not even aware existed.
