I am a student living in NY. I love photography and yes, I do use filters. If necessary, I can upload the originals too. I took one photography class and absolutely hated it. Personally, I believe that photography cannot be taught. Just like love. I think you have to feel it, like actually experience and breathe it. Is that weird?
