I had a bit of the same problem for a long time. Once was because I'd started playing WoW, that's a surefire way to kill your art drive. The other was I'd drawn too much/spent too much time on detailed art without breaks. So...burnout.
Maybe the break is something you need anyway- you might feel refreshed once you get your mojo back.

ahaha actually ive been playing a lot of videogames lately, and with other people. so maybe that's it. im hoping when i go back to school and am away from all that technology ill finally start getting my drive back

Yeah. Videogames replace the need for art for a lot of people- they're both emotional escapes.
It could also be you're playing more games because you can't draw. I know I do that a lot.

that's pretty much what it's been for me, as well as a way to talk to people i don't see every day. i have a lot of friends in CA so playing online multiplayers with them is like my way of hanging out with them. and i think the latter is also true. although some games i've been recently playing MAKE me want to draw fanart. so we'll see
yes! i still use aim. im not on as much anymore, but my sn is porphyrophilia. im also probably going to download msn soon because so many of my friends use it. if you are ever on send me an im! i miss talking to you!
