Hello. I was drawn here because of your cool Kenpachi drawings. I always love to see him and other Bleach characters in different artstyles^^ But then I read about in your description of how genderbending can be harmful and now I'm kind of worried. I drew a Kenpachi genderbend on my account and I'd like your input. Is it okay or should I take it down? I'm real sorry for bothering you >_>

First of all, I'm really glad you like my bleach stuff! It's some of my personal favorite too, even still, so seeing other people like it is really encouraging
Second, I think it's up to you and how you feel honestly. Considering I haven't taken mine down, I don't think it'd be my call to really tell you what to do in this situation. Some trans and nb people (like myself) don't find genderbends as harmful or bothersome as others, but I do know that several do since the context for them is dependent on the gender binary/who passes or doesnt pass/other transphobic details, so it really depends on your audience. Do you feel like it's going to hurt anyone who views it, even with the explanation/acknowledgment that it's transphobic? Do you feel like it could instead be used as a personal learning stage: a testament to the fact that you learned better and became better? Is it just something you REALLY liked how it came out and want to acknowledge that you realize it's harmful- but want to keep up because you're proud of the art itself?
All I can really suggest is keep an open mind for the future and, if anyone complains or you really feel a personal conviction about it, take it down.

First, you're very welcome!
Now second, I have thought about it and decided that yes, I believe mine can be used as a learning stage. I know better now and know what I would change about it. I have also decided to leave it up as I feel (hopefully) that it hasn't hurt anyone, at least not that I know of. I wasn't that crazy about genderbends in the first place but now I won't mind if I swear off them completely. I don't want to take a chance of hurting people.

That's good! I'm glad you've thought about it. Sometimes in the end I end up deleting my stuff that worked as a learning stage in the waaaay future, but it helps having them up to reflect on before then too I find. Just keep an open mind and trust your own gut feel about it in the future, if you can.

As for drawing more Bleach, I say: probably! Bleach (especially Kenpachi) holds a special place in my heart since it helped me get through a lot of things and get to know myself. I've had some issues with the tumblr Bleach roleplay community though, so I've for now been put off it. But! That doesn't mean it wont pop up in the future probably! Can't guarantee I'll ever go back through a big phase like I did a few years ago, but I know I end up cycling through the certain fandoms I like enough to where it's a possibility.

Oh, cool! I totally get that. Bleach is as important to me as Inuyasha (the first ever anime I watched that got me into the whole anime/manga business and will forever hold a special place for me) And for the life of me I can't figure out why I have such a connection to Kenpachi but I do XD I'm very happy to hear that you might draw more of him. I can't wait!

Yeah! Funny enough, even with Pokemon and Inuyasha and stuff I had as a kid, Bleach was the first anime/manga I actually got into! I'm kind of a late bloomer so I didn't go through the whole Bleach phase until 2014 haha but I remember being introduced to it when I was like 13? It was wild. Also, Kenpachi TOTALLY rocks and I feel a connection to him too ! Rock on! I love the 11th squad they'd totally be, like, my home honestly.
