# About me

I'm a primary school teacher with a degree in fashion and textiles. I work from home producing artwork and commission work including hand-painted champagne corks called 'corkies' and embroidered felt brooches which I sell through my website and at local craft fairs. I get a regular income as a private tutor and also work as an exam invigilator in a local school. I am inspired by the things I love which include the movies and all things vintage. I particularly love the fifties and admire style icons like Marilyn Monroe and Audrey hepburn. I love trawling markets and charity (thrift)shops in the hope of finding something unusual to add to my growing collection.
I also love musicals and am an active member of an amateur dramatic company. I can sing and act but I'm definitely not a dancer. ¬¬'
I love Doris Day especially in her romantic comedies with Rock Hudson. My teenage daughter is arty too so my dining room table is rarely seen as it heaves under the weight of art materials upon it.
