# About me
Grew up in Oxfordshire drawing pretty much from age 5, I remember the exact moment that defines me, it was drawing a bus and I thought ' I want to make a good job of this' my Mother still has the drawing today! I studied graphic design for seven years and have been an art director and designer for 14 years working with major companies such as Wrigley's Gum and Federal Mogul. It was in 2009 that I was offered the post of head of Illustration at the company I work for that I accepted willingly, as I have always illustrated my own designs! The rest is history really I have been asked to contribute to art blogs and magazines but workload (and confidence!) has always stopped me, but deviant has given me a platform so I would love to pass on some teachings in the future as it has wonderful artists with enthusiasm and willingness to learn new things. The deviant community are encouraging and full of genuine praise that I consider this my home.# Comments

It didn't let me post the link in my earlier comment. Here is the link to the stolen image: www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbiβ¦

Thanks for that - it seems to have gone or been taken down. Do you know what paintings they posted?

Hey Tony, someone in Facebook is posting your work and claiming as his own.Β
As a creative person myself, I hate when this happens. I hope you call out this person in Facebook.
P.S. I do not have a deviant art account, but made one just so that I could post this comment.

Thank you for sharing your brushes. I am only new to art- I started learning in March of this year, and only got my tablet 10 days ago. Still so much to learn, but thank you for sharing.

Your work is amazing! I have recently become nearly bedridden and find myself having to switch from traditional media to digital because of the injuries. It is wonderful to see a talent in using PhotoShop in a painting style instead of photo-manipulation. You have provided me with great inspiration. Thank you!

Thank you so much Tony. I don't get by all that often. Do you use Corel Painter at all or just PhotoShop?

Hey, I am sorry I haven't replied till now - work is crazy and I have no time to myself!! I hope that you are doing alright, like I said if you need any help with techniques or any advice message me and ill get back to you, when I started digital art I was a nightmare I was lousy. Like anything practice practice and practice some more. Save all your work, even if you think it sucks, as you grow in confidence(and you will) look back on it and use it as a marker to see your progression - it really helps! To answer your question I use PS exclusively now, I did test painter for a bit but to be honest it was full of bugs and the interface is not great! Although saying that it has some lovely features but you can pretty much replicate them through PS now - even though I wish PS was painters price! Look after yourself. Tone.

I know about the price! I am still on PS7 and have Elements8 just s I can use newer brushes. I have a friend who gave me her copy of Painter11 and I really liked a lot of the features it has. My wonderful family (mom, sister, niece, nephew) got my most wanted Christmas/birthday wish (I was born on the 22nd of Dec.)and gave me Painter12 and a large Intuos 5 tablet. When I get the energy to upgrade my PC to Windows7 I will install those. The questions might start pouring in then. I do mostly portraits when I can. They come so easy to me. Landscapes I really suck at though I am trying to improve in that area. I have a page on an art association website that I maintain for the group. You can see some of my works there. I haven't decided yet if I want to start posting here again. [link]
And no worries about the time of replying.
Take care Tony.

Thanks so much to everyone that has left such wonderful comments about my work. I canoot truy express how much I am humbled and inspired to paint more and inprove. I am working on a tool presets pack that I think will help people to try new techniques and styles in their paintings. It's coming very soon. Thanks - Tone.
