Hi, I'm Jessica. I live with my husband and entirely too many dogs and cats in Florida. I like to draw and to sew.Science fiction and horror movies make me happy. And often terrified. Joss Whedon is my god. I have a mortal fear of zombies and sleep with the Survival Guide under my pillow. You know, just in case.
I also think I’m funny, but I’m probably wrong.

i have a question for you, im a beginner vector artist, and i want to develop a style similar to yours, however i want to know if it is considered cheating if you have the image under your layer while working?

It's really up to you, I think. I used to do it that way but then I decided I liked working from sketches better. I personally don't think there's anything wrong with it as long as you make the finished picture *yours* not a clone of the original.

I gotta say, when I first started college I had a huge obsession with Adobe Illustrator. When I printed some of my stuff at the school lab, they showed me your work on a website. That was near 5 years ago, and I have followed your work since, and have also shown off your talent to students I teach to show them how portraiture is possible in vector.
You have been a big inspiration on my vector art. Maybe not stylistically, but overall, an inspiration. Thanks for rocking!
