So, what is my idea for this contest?
To run a contest in 2 categories, Photography and Photomanipulation, with the theme "LIGHTs".
What do I want to see?
Anything related to light: it can be a candle, a fireplace, a rainbow, a strange glow, sun rays, xmas lights, dim light or bright light (but, please photographers, don't photograph the sun!: you'll ruin your camera, your eyes and ours!).

oh wow, i bet you're really good. 
i'm really liking it so far. i've had more enthusiasm for it than any other instrument i've attempted to learn to play. i can't really find anyone who teaches it here, so i've been having to teach myself off of books and what i can look up online. i'm currently working on some legato bowing stuff.

It took me a very long time to get my bowing technique right, one thing I have found is that there will always be something new to learn in violin playing, it's such a complex instrument

oh that's really cool! just from that little bit you do sound very talented. 
indeed, it is complex and it seems to be an endless pursuit in playing it. it's not as hard as one might think. at first it was a little difficult, because it felt like i was only learning random small things and that it sounded like a cat being drowned when i played, but eventually it came together. i still stumble and have trouble with various things (like anyone else), however, i just take my time, concentrate on what i'm trying to do and have fun with it. i'm sure one day someone will come along and comment on how i don't have the proper technique for something or do something unorthodox and all that jazz. haha.

Haha that is a very good way of looking at it, it you are wanting to play for your own enjoyment it shouldn't matter what anyone else thinks, as long as you're happy with it
