Yeah, there's a lot of handy reference around for Sheff sites. It's great and all and - combined with some detective work - is quite invaluable for a day visitor like myself, but it does lessen the impact of seeing a new piece. There's nothing quite like discovering a new site/piece by yourself!
Be interested to know whereabouts you practice your art. From what I saw in your submissions, most of it is done off-street? Oh, and I gotta ask if you ever visited Hallam Towers, or know anyone that has?

If you know the main spots there's often something new to see round here. Walls are 'recycled' at a surprising rate! But I do get what you mean about finding a piece yourself. Even though I don't tend to photograph others work I was buzzing when I found Kid Acne just finishing off one of his latest pieces the other week. XD
I tend to practice at home but I've done some really shoddy 'tests' in public round the area I live. I tend to look for 'quieter' spots though now so I've got a bit of time to concentrate instead of keeping an eye out for someone who may dissaprove. XD
I've not been to Hallam Towers. I know some of the artists that have been there but much of the graffiti is painted over now. I think they're trying to make it less appealing to Graff artists and Urbexes.

Surely you could work somewhere central like Sylvester Gardens, or those lovely buildings in from it?
That's sad to hear, that paint is being axed in the old hotel. It won't do a thing to diminsh the appeal to urb-exers though! Graffiti is just an added bonus for me, if I'm in someplace like that
