Regarding this stamp... [link] I LOVE it. I get so fed up with how schools are teaching evolution as the one and only way the earth could have possibly came about. And what get's me is that they say they can't talk about religion in school, but for all descriptive purposes evolution IS a religion. Sorry about the long comment and minor rant, but I just wanted to let you know that I agree with you 100%!

Minor rants are no problem! I love hearing other opinions, given they're said in a respectful manner. I'm tired of this fact too...and absolutely...they act as charismatic as any other religion, they PREACH their religion is the only way...and they'll persecute everyone else that DOESN'T believe them. -shrugs- xD

Look, I can believe in the Old Earth Age...there's things in our Bible that support that...which is another thing many evolutionists like the Bash. Look into the Jewish translation, and things open up. But yes, I see where you're getting at C:

You mean the verses that say "That a thousand years is a flash to God"? Well, I see it more like it's saying that he never changes, regardless of time, but that's my thought.
My pastor know Hebrew and teaches the language in our church. He occasionally tells me the Jewish tradition and I see things pretty well, especially when it came to some interesting creatures in the Bible (like the Behemoth and such). I'm a animal nut and behaviorist.

Um, not to criticize, but a "theory" actually has two meanings. One is possible thought. The other is a truth. Don't bash me about it, it's a common misunderstanding. Just thought I'd point that out, no disrespect or anything.

While I understand this meaning..."Theory" is described in two distinct ways. In terms of a Physics or Mathematics, "Theory" describes a Law or a truth, you are correct. In Biology, Anthropology and Chemistry, however, "Theory" describes something that's an Idea. In fact, in Biology, the first thing they feed to us is the very fact that Evolution is a Theory, an IDEA by which they can TRY to explain something, but they never directly pass it off as a "Law" or "The truth".
I understand what you mean though, and no disrespect taken. In fact, I thank you for being mature enough to point that out respectfully, rather than bashing my belief x3

Atheist or not, I don't believe in bashing religions. They're a way to live by, and I respect any who find comfort in them. More power too you, and thanks for not overreacting. Usually when I talk about it, people get angry at me, but you seem rather zen about the whole thing. I wish more people like you existed.

Absolutely. And I think that's possibly the reason people have their dander up all the time on the topic, a mere misunderstanding. Though that misunderstanding seems to go a long way regardless. :/
Truthfully, I'm a skeptic myself. I don't believe in things because I'm told to. If a group of people forcibly try to make me believe that, say, pigs on the Island of Lulu fly...well...I'm not one who's going to blindly believe them because I was told to. I started off Aetheist, and I have sympathy towards people's beliefs. I'm Christian now for my own reasons. Either way, it didn't happen overnight. I wish people would understand that we're not all radicals...and also find the heart to accept that OTHERS aren't some crazy radicals either...
And quite honestly, if I honestly walk on my belief, I'd be a hypocrite if I overreacted. I'm strong enough in my faith not to overreact. I like debates, I like talking. Sure, there's times when I'm ticked off at others...but that's mostly because they've bashed my faith first. I'm allowed to voice my opinions in that circumstance, I think. Otherwise, you're right...I'm pretty lax. I won't forcibly push my beliefs on you. I can tell you about it, but that's about it xD

When I learned about this, that night I sent the prayer requests and continued to pray...I didn't do anything else. As Peter said...we don't have anywhere else to go other than to Jesus, and while the devil wants us to turn otherwise, we gotta stay strong.
