I'm afraid I'm about to ask you a question that some may find intimate and intrusive, and I'll be content even if it's met with silence.
However, when you've finished drawing something such as this, how much time you spend simply looking at it and imagining? See, when I see images I try to imagine the scenario, get a true grip on what it may indeed be like if it was real. And of course how a dashing hero who looks suspiciously like myself may intervene, sometimes for several minutes at a time. I've even been known to nod off thinking of such things.
Do you do this, or is it simply a DRAW => PUBLISH process?
I'd like to beleive it's the former, and that immersing yourself in the scene during creation combined with skill is part of why your works stand out from all the rest. But then again, you do have quite a lot of skill...

In my case, any kind of 'immersion' takes place before I start drawing.
Once I start drawing, all I'm concerned with is making the picture live up to my imagination.

I'm not sure what OB thought when he was actually remaking this and colouring, from the discussions we do have together I can tell you he is one crazy person with a very funny sense of humor. He's also an insane artist which make a lethal combination ^^
I was originally playing with sketches and just showing them to him, he looked at this one and decided to take It on and finish the picture (a lot better then what I started It out as)The actual idea for the sketch was just thinking of something out of the box that I'd never done before. I/We didn't really have any story for this until afterwards where we just made up a silly scenario which ended up with Aeris being locked away after beating up Leo over one of his silly acts.

Although I've been trying to do one where she's in a striped prison uniform being judged by none other than Leo... Irony
Also I've tried to make one with her in a hospital with head wrappings and shes crying as a small canary pecks at her window
