Ouch. I fell into fanart. Again.I really didn't like Jack Frost at first sight : albinos teenage guy, with hair all around his face... Sounded too much like teenage-fangirls-character to me. But I knew Dreamworks has quite a few problems with communication and commercials.
So I went to see the film.
An epic tale. That's how I could resume it. (epic in it's original meaning)
And even if Jack Frost's voice deeply disturbs me, I really love him. That's some great character design !
Okay, I'll stop gabbering about.
Jack Frost from Rise of the Guardians (which is called The Five Legends in France, which is just as cool. Nobody cares, I know)

I agree, the marketing did no justice to the movie.
I loved the creativity of the movie especially anything that concerned the Tooth fairy.

Dreamworks and their marketing. They seriously should think it all over again !
I wasn't too impressed by the tooth fairy, since it isn't a story I had when I was small (the film even notices it when we see the Little Mice, the French version of the tooth fairy). But I agree with the fact they really had good ideas on that film !

It's ironic, if you think about it. Most companies are great at marketing
but their movies aren't up to our standards(most cases).
That's interesting I never knew mice were a European folklore. I thought it was only a Latin American legend(....those Spanish....)
I loved the designs of each of their worlds. But I thought
they needed to recast Jacks' voice but it grew on me at
the end of the movie.

Well, I often say that half of the time, Dreamworks' films aren't really good (for me, I mean).
Yup, in France, it's a mouse. I was wondering where else we could find this story. In Latin America then ?
I've saw RotG in french, so I did get used to his french voice, but I can't stand the english one sadly.

jack was epic <3 i love albino for some reason XD they could do a lot more with the characters but they really gave them great traits. i died laughing when i found out santa was russian, and my sister and i loved the easter bunny.

Je te le conseille malgré tout. Il me branchait pas non plus, je n'aimais pas le personnage principal ni le thème, mais ça a très bien tourné. Il est vraiment mieux que ce que l'on pourrait croire.
