Project designed and supervised by General James Ironwood himself, proposed the creation
of nine giant flying aircraft carriers for the Atlas navy. Being the largest warships in
all of Remnant, these aircraft carriers would be the new future of the world, each of them
being stationed in the other kingdoms so that they could perform the role of mobile airfield
and command ship.

When the fall of the Beacon Academy occurred, CVB-01 was in its final stages of construction,
which after the catastrophic event were suspended indefinitely, along with that, progress
on CVB-02 and CVB-03 was paused. and it was decided to cancel said units due to the high costs
and the scarcity of resources to continue the construction.

During the following months, the Atlas militia concentrated on continuing with the mass production
of the Alcias and Palladio P-02 cruisers, leaving the project of General Ironwood abandoned,
who on more than one occasion fought with the council to invest more resources in it. to create
a much larger and more effective ship for a possible war, however there was little he could do
to appeal and eventually the project foundered and the three incomplete ships remained on the
tundra being slowly cannibalized for their parts to be used in Amity's modernizations. Secretly
the Blizzard CVB-01 was put into service guarding the kingdom's borders, although such a task
would be somewhat limited for the ship whose radar and sensor system could never be installed,
relying solely on remote guidance systems to perform operations, which Due to the storms,
it made the task of the pilots very difficult when landing and clearing the ship.

Despite its defects, the ship was a formidable combatant with four types of heavy artillery
cannons for close defense and anti-aircraft, this added to its large size and resistant armor
that made it resistant to large-scale attacks, its embarked air group consisted of mainly
in 49 Manta I ships and 13 Manta II ships, 8 Atlesian Dropships and 10 Bullheads. On the other
hand, it had transport capacity for 33 officers and 100 crew, 14 Atlesian Paladin, 150
Atlesian Knight AK-200 and 80 infantry soldiers. The only biggest problem with this aircraft
carrier was its slowness, being a ship that in its development stages did not prioritize high
speed, the design became quite robust and not very maneuverable, which was corrected in its
other sister ships during the war.

Before the arrival of Salem as such in Atlas, the crew of the aircraft carrier ran into an
abysmal grimm known as Monstra, although they tried to send signals of danger and help to
the kingdom, the storm around the creature disabled communications for which Knowing that
they would receive no help, the captain in command of the ship ordered to open fire on the
Grimm in a desperate attempt to stop the monster's advance. Although the battle was short,
the carrier received extensive damage losing three of its eight engines, an attempt was made
to flee but the low speed and maneuverability were what finally sentenced the ship and its crew.
When the Blizzard turned to starboard to surround Monstra and escape from the grimm, but being
too slow the grimm whale ended up ramming the aircraft carrier hard, splitting it in half
in a matter of seconds, the remains of the ship, more specifically the area of bow, they
were found by JNR and WBY in the tundra, the wreckage was mostly intact but the grimm killed
the survivors of the ship. Later the hunters came across the other two aircraft carriers
abandoned in a shipyard in the tundra.

Time after the destruction of Atlas and Mantle, Robyn Hill, Winter Schnee, Qrow Branwen,
Pietro Polendina in the company of others returned to the tundra to recover everything that
could be saved from Atlas, to increase the army that was being formed, for their Luckily,
the trip was not in vain and they ran into CVB-02 Winter Sovereign and CVB-03, however the
latter was already too damaged and fragile, so everything that could be useful was rescued,
leaving CVB-03 abandoned in the tundra. On the other hand, the Winter Sovereign moved to the
Kingdom of Vacuo where it was repaired and modernized to enter service, it should be noted
that Vacuo carried out the construction of a new blizzard-class ship called CVB-04 New Dawn.
