Description
Cameo Island, a.k.a. "the disco island" at sunrise.Cameo Island is a C-shaped island in Laganas Bay, near the shore of Agios Sostis, Zakynthos. Basically, the whole island is a bar with a nice beach in its little cove. The entry costs €3.50, which you can drink away at the island's bar.
I took this photo at about 6 a.m. while taking a morning walk on the shore to see the big fat Greek misty sunrise
, hoping to see some caratta caratta-s (loggerhead sea turtles; this endangered specie lives only on this island, and the most possible time to spot them is during the early morning hours) at the port. Yeah, I saw one! 
...ohh btw, these turtles can grow very large; they can even reach the 1 meter!

I like the composition, but personally I think this would look better as a HDR image.
You can try the 'Fake HDR' option in PS, or maybe you have another version of this shot to make a HDR version.

Thanks, I use Photomatix Pro 3 for making HDR images. I tried to make one of this photo as well, but it was too noisy. I didn't like it.

A cool shot, dear - I love the lighting, and the contrast of the dark island against the brighter sea!

Are you sure that it was 6 AM, your camera says: Date Picture Taken: Jun 28, 2009, 5:16:19 AM or you didn't changed time on your camera.

Hmm, I still think that even if the back mountains were very dark, the naturally occuring fog and haze in the air would lighten them up again, provided everything is to scale (like, they would have to be really big and really far
