I literally got right up close to this /very wild/ bird. We managed to put our finger in front of him, offering him to hop on, but he just flew to the ground next to his cone perch. He allowed us to get really close to him, snap a few pictures, and was there when we left to grab a bite to eat. We were going to give him some fries but he was gone when we came back.

We were waiting in line for a ferry ride at the time, convenienty at the very end of the long line of cars. Boy, was that an interesting trip. The guard people were funny and told us about Charlie the Bird. Heh.

I got chili dog all over myself.
