My friend told me he was her favorite and the most awesome character and I was all yeah, BS! Then after reading the first 5,000+ pages, he was not even in the story then in less than ten pages he completely out shinned ALL the other characters put together... DIRK IS AMAZING OMG!!!!

There the parents, DaveRose is the ectosiblings if anyone, but even if it is a different timeline they have babies. I'd say that's more canon than anything. Babies everywhere. I think that Marge/Homer parallel to Roxy/Dirk with Jane/Jake being Flander's wife and Flanders in the first few seasons... but that's just my thoughts there.
