You sighed at the Cuban man handing another ice cream to a stranger kid. There was something about him that made you smile more than ever. His genuine smile, the way his eyes shined in the sunlight, his muscular form[1]; Just everything!

"Oy, [Name]!" You jumped a little at the startling voice. Turning around, you spot your friend, Alfred. You ran over to him, waving your arms in front of you, and stopped in front of him with a bright smile.

"Alfred! You're just in time! Quick, I need you to help me tell Juan[2] how I feel!" Alfred gave you a confused look.

"But you look just fine. Are you sick or something?" He eyed you suspiciously and you facepalmed.

"Not that way, you idiot! I meant how I feel towards him, like how to tell him I love him!" Alfred made an 'O' with his mouth and nodded, going into a thinking position. He then looked up and shrugged, grinning.

"Just go up to him, start some conversation, and before you leave.." Alfred then proceeded to try and make out with himself. You laughed but blushed in embarrassment at the stupid American in front of you.

"Yeah yeah, just stop doing that before someone sends you to the mental hospital!" He laughed along with you and waved his hand.

"No worries, I'm already planning to get Artie there!" You both exchanged one more laugh before parting ways. You were just a few steps away from Juan before you had a terrible gut feeling. 'I can't just tell him how I feel! I'm so retarded! Alright, you'll just turn around and try again tomo-' Your thoughts were interrupted by someone calling your name.

"Hey, [Name]! What're you doing out here at this time of day?" You gulped and blushed brightly, turning around slowly. Juan was smiling at you and waving. You stood there like an idiot before walking over to him and smiling nervously.

"I-I'm just, you know..Being lonely..Walking around..That kind of single person activites.." You laughed a little at your own stupid joke. He chuckled and looked at the sky for a moment, before turning his attention back to you.

"I was just about ta head home, considering how late its getting. You want me to walk you home?" You went wide eyed and blushed a bright shade of red, other known as pink. Soon, you snapped out of your trance and nodded without knowing it. He laughed and took off his apron, shoving it in the ice cream bar's counter. "Let me just clean up here and we can get going, alright?" You smiled slightly and nodded.

Ten minutes passed by and you guys already had a decent conversation going. You were walking down the park, laughing about some joke you made up with your friends the other day. It was about vampires, which really is rare for you to talk about.

"Haven't you ever thought about that for vampires? My friends always told me they have to wait for permission to enter the house, so that's the first thing that popped into my mind!" You laughed a little more before looking up at the sky. The star scatter[3] in the sky always made you happy, no matter what your mood of the day was.

"You like stars, don't you?" You blinked and looked over at Juan. He had his beautiful smile on his lips once again. You, unconciously, smiled back at him and nodded.

"I've always been interested in astronomy. I want to be an astronomer when I'm older. Or, once I've completed my lessons on how to play the violin, I want to be able to play in the moonlight!" You looked back up at the sky, smiling softly. "I just want to be around the stars all my life.." He smiled and took your hand in his gently. You looked at him in shock but you soon tangled your fingers with his.

Before you knew it, you were back at your house, standing at the step with Juan. You turned around and leaned against your door. Giving an unsure smile, you held your hand out for Juan to shake.

"I enjoyed our time together, Juan.." He chuckled and shook your hand. His grip was firm as usual, but you could tell he was trying his best to be gentle. You blushed brightly again, remembering what Alfred told you to do. Instead, you just wanted to tell Juan how you felt. That was the whole reason for being out today, anyways! You let out a nervous laugh and took your hand back. Juan turned his back and held up a hand, signaling a good bye. You blinked and opened your mouth. "W-wait!" He stopped and turned to look at you. You started stuttering wildly, trying to muster up your courage to tell him. "I-I..W-well you see..I-I..I-I really..L-Like.." You shut your eyes tightly. "I-I l-like y-..y-your s-stripes.." He laughed and walked back up to you. He put an arm around your waist, his available arm lifting your chin up to look at his eyes.

"I love you, too, [Name]." With that, he leaned down and gave you a sweet and gentle kiss. You were dumbfounded, wide eyed at the sudden action. He pulled back and ruffled your hair. "I'll see you tomorrow, alright?" You stood there in a trance before shaking your head and nodding.

"O-Of course!" He chuckled and pecked you on the cheek, walking off of your porch. He stopped suddenly and you blinked.

"By the way.." He turned his head just enough for you to be able to see his face and smiled. "Thanks for the compliment."
