is this completely hand painted or did you paint on a 3d model? the lighting is so realistic, yet it feels so painted. I absolutely love this style!

Wow, The detail and the over allΒ design of itΒ is really awesome.
AlsoΒ I haveΒ a question, I'm able to draw very well; However I struggle like hell coming up withΒ scifi concepts like this.
If you or anybody here could give me some tip or pointers (like reference images or artist I should look to)Β it would be much appreciated.

One of the ways i do it is once you have your body shape down but cant think of an actual design for something. get an extra piece of paper and draw as many designs as you can only giving 1-30 seconds for each one and eventually you will get one that looks good enough for you to draw properly. this is the same method concept artists use when they are designing something and draw many sillhouettes.

In USA men dress up. Even young men can be seen in slim-cut dark suits, and shiny black shoes. They all wear scarves and seem to know how to knot them expertly. This doesn't mean that you (men) have to wear suits. Choose our casual wear with care and attention. Men in USA wear cashmere sport jacket , corduroy blazer and sport coats. Stylish jeans are seen everywhere.

Poor helmet visibility could be a problem, unless the suit just plugs into the sensors of the plane akin to the Occulus Rift (that would be pretty cool, recieving a computer pre-digested image of the battlefield instead of skimming between instrumentation and the outside constantly)...
Do the slots in the shoulder clamp into a harness or something, forgoing a traditional belt?
The bottle on the front between the metallic rib-cage assembly, is that a fire-bottle or o2 or what?
I really love how you let the design do the talking, letting everything merge. In future, you might want to think about which stages you put the different layers on or take this thing off in. Might give you some new ideas as to what goes where.

Reminds me some of the characters from MGS games, a lot of attention of detail and realism. Probably none of the stuff depicted exist but you have the feeling that is real and has some purpose, nothing more, nothing less. I really like it
