Description I've had this in my head ever since I saw jackfreak1994's artwork! Finally, I've done it!

For anyone not familiar with Disney history, the date in the top panel is the day after Walt's death from lung cancer.

That IS sad. I just read a Life magazine about Walt Disney, and it talked about something kind of bittersweet. Even before he was diagnosed with lung cancer, his health was declining during the 60s and sometimes, late at night, he would ask the Sherman Brothers to 'play it', meaning Feed the Birds from Mary Poppins. Then one day, he told them "Keep up the good work, fellas." According to Richard Sherman, that was "the first and only time that he ever complimented our work." Even before learning how sick he really was, I think he somehow knew he didn't have much time.

Dang, that hurts. But I think that Mickey should be one that suffers the most because he was the one who spent most time with Walt when he was alive. Oswald stayed with him until the Universal incident, meaning that he didn't spend that much time with Walt.

It would have been awful for them both, but I always imagined that Mickey would struggle most with his grief for that reason.

i think something is wrong with the picture. it either glitches out and i can't zoom in, or it's all glitched out together. maybe it's deviant art? or maybe just my computer

It seems fine on my computer... I just made a few slight adjustments and updated, so maybe try it now. Or try opening it in a separate tab, that works for me sometimes.
