Personality: [ Carter is more on the quiet and reserved side, but will open up around closer friends. She's not a party pooper, but she'd rather not go out to clubs and such, preferring to keep to herself and stay at home, maybe with a couple close friends. Very much introverted, she tries to avoid overly large social situations. She's practically the opposite of clingy, almost to the point of being distant, but those who get to know her will notice her practically minuscule ways of showing affection. She's a quick thinker, fast on her feet, but despite all of that, takes her time with practically everything unless she's in her zone. She's routinely late to things, and seems to function around no particular schedule, just going with the flow. Not the brightest, but not dumb either, Carter excels more at being creative and imaginative than knowledgeable. She's not always the friendliest of people, and while her onstage persona is more open and engaging, behind the scenes she's more apathetic and distant. Strongly opinionated about most things, she's stubborn and stands her ground unless she can be proven wrong. Most of the time though, she doesn't voice her opinions, but may mutter comments under her breath. She also tends to have lazy habits. If she doesn't have to go out of her way (unless in public), she probably won't. She's not washing those dishes in that sink if it's not hers. ]

Why I joined S.O.S: [ Carter just wants to make music and have people listen to it. What better way to do that than to join other music makers? It's a platform for her to get herself out there, and she can work with others to improve and add on to her music. Just making music in her room and putting it on YouTube wasn't going to cut it. ]

History: [ Carter hasn't had what most would call an 'eventful' life. She's hoping she'll have those adventures later, or maybe now.
Born in America to a Korean father and an African American and Caucasian mother, Carter was an only child. She was never troublesome, albeit getting into the standard kid trouble. She never seemed to have any problems until she started school. She excelled at language arts (being bilingual helped a bit), science, and of course, music, but history and some of her classmates were causing issues. Carter, being more on the quiet side, was never a queen bee of the kids, and so, like many of her other classmates, were subjugated to taunting and other rude remarks from the kids who thought they were all that. Instead of letting this get her down, though, she would find her own way to get petty revenge. Think those were veggie straws? Nope, it's shrimp chips. It was her favorite form of revenge. She may have gotten labeled as "The Girl with the Weird Food", it did get them to back off enough that Carter could ignore them with little effort on her part. With them dealt with, she could focus more on her music, and her creative side bloomed. Her music teacher would let her practice with him after school while she waited to get picked up by her parents.
Then her dad decided that maybe a visit to Korea to see his parents again was a good idea.
And it was. Carter spent time refreshing her Korean with her dad in the time before they went, her mom listening in on lessons to try to learn some too. They went for the summer before high school, and Carter was captivated. She slowly immersed herself into it all, taking it in. She returned home with her family, and wanted to return someday. So, each summer after that, they returned for a visit, some lasting weeks, others, months. When Carter graduated from high school, she knew what she wanted to do: music, in a place she started to consider home. After all, what was the harm in trying? ]
