Very interesting armour! While I love you more westerner-looking armor as well, it's nice to see some more easterner-feeling as well!

Always loved the concept of the mirror armor types. The maille is nice and tight and the combination of steel and brass almost gives a somewhat regal look to it. Love it :3

It would certainly not be easy. Maybe if left hand on a righthanded, he can get himself a prosthesis with a mechanical spring-lock tong, like a welder's tong, you know. Then he's gotta lock the tong around the workpiece with his right hand first before hammering away with his right. If it would be the RIGHT hand on a righthanded, then the prosthesis would have to have a rigid arm with an attached hammer.Β
Even the most seasoned smiths drop steel on the floor because of the awkwardness of tongs. He'd be in for a ell of a challenge even with the easiest of things.Β

Not bad. Will you try to draw your character in Cuman armor? It kinda reminded me that way when I see it.

Don't have a helm?
I like the armor. Before to read your description, the armor remember me to iberian armor (well, the iberian never use a chainmall), but, I said by the desing.

...chainmail's a bitch when you get your fur in it, ugh!
I mean, looks great! xD There's this sense of tragedy when you design these beautiful armors, carefully crafted, because I know from your other stories, in the end, they get the crap kicked out of them, and will never have an army or a country again.

Nice! I always love how you design your armor. I do have a question however...
Wouldn't chain-mail be difficult for a furred critter to wear? The fur getting pinched, caught and pulled by the metal links would cause great discomfort, especially during periods of prolonged movement. I've been thinking about this recently (as I'm guilty of putting chain-mail on my own characters) and have decided to use scale mail myself for now on... Sorry, just a thought, and as always it's amazing to see what your next work is!

You don't wear chainmail on your bare skin, it goes with a padded shirt underneath like a padded jacket or gambeson. And as a person with long hair who has worn a mail hauberk I can say that it did not leave me bald. A person holds it for you and you sort of dive into it and remove it the same way.

I can see the inspiration from the Russian and I love it!Β Russian armours and weapons have always been among my favourites, right alongside the Norse.Β TrueΒ Norse, not those silly little horned helmets.Β Your digital style is improving with each piece posted and, while I like your traditional stuff best, I love to see you branching out.Β Keep up the good work.
