This is happening in the HH fandom now I guess, people harassing fans that enjoy characters like Valentino or Katie Killjoy. But this goes for any fandom/series.

It's ok to not like certain characters, don't harass people that do. That being said, people who do enjoy problematic characters, villains etc. are not bad people just for liking them, most people that do enjoy characters like that don't condone the actions those characters do, but could like them for other aspects of their personality, hell even just for their physical designs etc.

Ex. I fucking love Scar from the lion king, always was my favorite Disney villain, do I condone people killing their siblings and becoming violent tyrants?? no.
