The scanner killed it!
It looks alot better in real life, realy! 
Based on a old Asian farie tale which I fell in love with. Its about the queen of a large river/lake. Realy good story, but I cant remember the name right now. I am very happy how it came out. But unfortunately my mother isnt too wild about it, (I gave it to her since she kept whinning about she only gets my art when I throw it out and I draw too much anime and fanart.....
nag nag nag)Done with traditional watercolors, watercolor pencils, pencil, pen, and V's prisma markers on watercolor paper.
p.s. if you can tell me which is the queen and the name of the story. I'll give you a cookie and possible picture. But you cant actually know me (aka. sammi, V, cullen... I looking at you.)

and you can never draw too much anime/manga! hehe i love the style as well as many others. but its just so much fun to draw.
as for the fairytale... hmm there is one called madame white snake that was held captive in the bottom of a lake. but i dont think its the same thing you're talking about. its a chinese legend.... im prolly wrong.

wow, the coloring and the concept of the whole picture are absolutely amazing, but there is one critique I may add, the head is a bit larger than the body. it happens to me a lot when I'm working on my pictures too...oi. but other than that great picture, I do like it.

The only queen that comes to mind was Shashthi from A Condensced Milk Doll, which I believe is a collection of Indian (which is considered Asian last I knew) folklore. I'm probably waaaay off base though. Either way she's pretty, otter's cute, picture's faved.
