Description
There you go, my contribution to the marvellous Harmony of Heroes project's art section.
I was one of the people responsible for the Metroid franchise; my task was basically to create a piece that reflects what I personally cherish in Metroid and what I feel emotionally connected to. For me, it has always been about the struggle of Samus to cope with the loss of her home and family in a very young age. The hatred and urge for revenge has been the hidden source of power that kept her going. So my piece is pretty much inspired by the Manga to Metroid, which established a more profound background that made Samus' journey much more cohesive.
Since I based my piece on the Manga lore, you should read it in the 'manga way', meaning right to left

All in all, it was a pleasure to work with such a talented group of artists! I would have never been able to come this far without them for I certainly had a few moments in which I just wanted to quit everything. My special thanks goes to Cronoan (cronoan.deviantart.com) who helped me out with the background when I was going through a tough time.
