illustrated ending of the game Lufia II - Rise of the Sinistrals.

The game came out in the 1996 for SNES (in Germany where I come from) and I loved it from the beginning till now!

(I've never played the DS Version!)

WARNING SPOILER If you don't know the game and you want to play it don't read it!

The both heroes named Maxim and Selan, they are married together and they've a child named Jeros.
This szene shows the goodbye because they sacrifice there lives for saving there son and the world. ;-;
The light spheres are there souls which are flying towards there final peace.
It's so sad...

Lufia! So nostalgic... Really beautifull drawing. So many details on such a small format!

This is one of my favorite video game endings of all time. Lufia 2 is a great game!

I really like the colors on the picture and the facial expressions for Maxim and Selan. Good work!

...I applaud your work. The scene is just so sad but there's something happy about it as well. Because they died keeping their son safe, and the rest of the world. They didn't get to live to see the world hail them as heroes, but they got to see their friends arrive home again safely and see their son one last time, so...

Great work!

Alongside Terranigma one of the most beautiful and sad games for the SNES.
Thanks for the memories.

Ich erinnere mich noch, wie wir damals allen möglichen Gerüchten über ein alternatives Ende auf den Leim gegangen sind. XD

Maxim and Selan get no happy ending? ...you know, in the DS remake, you have the chance to...rectify that.

No, sadly there is no happy ending for Selan and Maxim in the SNES version and I've never played the DS version.

In the DS version, the replay mode has a different ending. Should I elaborate, or would you rather find out on your own?

Yeah, I know. But, there IS a mode where you get more EXP and gold per battle. There's also a bonus mode with just the Ancient Cave, but you can choose your party members.
