Description Still practicing using different settings with the graduated filter......wanted the foreground to be seen even-though it was dusk.

I like the graduated fliter but noticed I have to manually focus , which I guess is good.....and Im trying to figure out the best way to use it along with my polarizer cause I hate changing filters all the time.Β  I finally arranged all my camera's and stuff in my camera bag...lol.........its heavy so I dont know who is gonna carry it...

"Yes" ... that is the only downfall of using such a filter, but the results are well worth it!! Β  The reason that it does that is because the area that is dark on the filter is stopping the minimum amount of light needed for your camera to autofocus ... this is common with most DSLRs, so don't worry that there's a problem with yours!! Β  Also ... I'm assuming that your polarizer is a circular unit as opposed to a linear type because there is a big difference!! Β  That's great to hear about all of your camera gear being arranged now and I would, but I'm not there ... sorry!!

yes its a circular....I was playing with it andΒ  trying to see what would be easier to use the circular first and then the graduated next or vise versa....I will keep working with it....I have noticed manual focusing is so much better but its hard for drive bys.......lol.

That's good to know Edie and that's great that you are experimenting more with things like this!! Β  "Yes"
Β ... manual focusing isn't as easy as AF, but sometimes it really does work better in some cases such as macro-photography where critical focusing must be achieved for desired results!! Β  Oh I know what you mean ... not ideal at all for moving subjects!!
