Colorado is so different from where I live, New England. When I've been to visit my sister, I'm just wide-eyed and drinking it all in. Short, infrequent visits though. I don't get to explore....

East Lyme is in a less suburban area than where I live, just below Springfield and above Hartford. Southern CT is pretty and more country. Nothing like Colorado though! Every place has it's special charm though.

The difference on the way there is striking, a small rural town, rustic looking, and then suddenly the massive modern casino! I much prefer the rustic little town...

I have never seen the casion...it was built after I left there and my mom and dad would go back and he would gamble there and have lots of things that he bought from there. Guess he won....

My husband likes the casino so when he could no longer drive, I took him a couple of times. I brought a book... It was amazing to see, the first time, but I didn't enjoy it. It's too much for him now so I don't have to go anymore.

Yes, that's why I took him even though I didn't enjoy it. He doesn't go out much anymore, just to get lottery tickets and have a nice dinner once a week, but he has a good attitude and doesn't complain.
