100kt-tape β€” Ha, finally out of the barn

Description I got the feeling that this old Dodge hauler was not long out of the shop after a bit of restoration work.

Like the old guy was blinking in the late day sunshine, and not quite believing he was out of the shed for good now.

I just couldn't leave it alone. I'd HAVE to paint it.

LOL, I dunno, paint might ruin the feel of it

Oh, I get that. But in this climate? Lol, the owner had better have a climate-controlled garage, or there'll be a layer of rust to sand off all over again.

Oh geeze, I hadn't even thought of that. Well then, I say lets start painting

I like the way you think. Wonder if they'd let us?

And that's another thing I like about trucks...

I had a friend years ago whose son was small at the time. He came from a small town and had split with his wife, though they were on good terms. He always knew something was up when she called him and started off about "his" son. There was a man a few doors down who had restored an old DeSoto in shiny midnight black.

Well, his little boy didn't like the color all that much, and painted it with a brush - sky blue, as high up as his little arms would reach... grille, doors, fenders, hubcaps and tires.

These days you can never tell. This just might look like this while the owner saves for the paint job, or it might just be finished, since that's one style these days. I'd have asked if I'd thought of it.

well, it definitely needs more restauration I think, with the sideplate of the engine compartiment missing...

I like the rounded forms of these old cars very much.

I can't say, there's a style where this would be considered complete! [link] Personally, for this one I'd agree with you, though the side covers are often left off for the appearance and to display the lovely engine work.
