Description I'm thinking this 3100 series Chevy has pretty much had the works done to it. Chopped, lowered, tinted, little bitty period-style side mirrors, and even the trick fake exhaust ports off of a '51 Buick added to the sides of the hood.

I'll take two, please.

Ooooh, nice truck! Kind of a subdued version of our paint job [link] . Hey, check out Lyle's cartoon i commissioned [link] !! AND, our truck always looks better w/ the hood down. But, folks always want it up to see the powerplant. Mine is a 300ci Ford big block 6 cylinder!! Not a crate 350. Do you know what was under this hood?

Dang, I thought I'd faved that one, but I guess I missed. Got it this time though...

I didn't get a look at this one's engine. I was about to approach the owner when a bunch of other cars came in. Shiny things distract me.

No worries, in "lowering" the body is mounted lower on the frame, so the wheels are deeper into the fenders than they used to be, that's all. This one isn't severe, many are much lower just above the point of scraping the pavement, and some have hydraulic or air cylinders used to hold up the body - and the body height can be adjusted from the dashboard. I saw one car pull into a cruise night this summer that was equipped with these and the owner was bobbing the thing around for fun. His significant other looked like she was going to need a barf bag pretty quick.

DikDanger has a huge lowered Dually truck. I always tease him about it... I worry the tire is going to fall off every single bump in the road.

I'd love to see it! I've always like certain duallies - can't use them here in the winter, but they look cool.
