Epic! The backgrounds are perfect for them, and the picture in itself is gorgeous - very well done. Their expressions and poise are perfectly characterized (I mean, Beato's still smirking even when being torn apart - how extremely Beato!), and Battler's hand! Omg, Battler's hand! So awesome!

I was VERY disappointed in the anime. It was not a very good depiction of the novel at all, very linear and under developed.
