How exactly is Rey a Mary-Sue, and why did you feel the need to make this comment on M's art?
Is it because she knows how to use the lightsaber without needing to know?
She's used a staff to fight for God knows how long. It's how she survived on a wasteland of a planet.Β
Is it because she knew how to use mind tricks?Β
She was mimicking what she learnt from Ren, because she's smart enough to piece together him talking about how she had the Force in her with actually using it.
Was it because she could speak to BB-8?
Living on a planet where she lived with various creatures would allow her to pick up on different languages.Β
Was it because she could fly the ship?
Didn't Anakin do that easily in the first movie, to a higher degree? It's all about having the Force. She instinctively knew. Not to mention she had experience beforehand flying ships.Β
If it's none of these reasons... please explain to me how she's a Mary-Sue, and I'll gladly sit and tell you how she's not.
Rey is a well written character, as is Anakin, and they are both to be loved for what they are.Β

yes! just like, Anakin the "i'm a virgin birth like Jesus, i can fix anything and win a race suddenly without ever winning before. and i can jump in a random ship and destroy a base without even knowing what i'm doing! the girl twice my age falls in love with me."
clearly Rey is the Mary Sue, oh yes of course.
