In my headcanon, fighter aircraft are the carnivores of the aircraft species. Fast, agile and generally quite aggressive, these planes are perfect for their occupation within combat roles. This is just a small look at a jet's teeth if the lips were to be pulled right back. Thanks Lance.And since they are unable to purr, many types of jet make a low sound known as prusten. Try petting a jet and they will most likely end up making this noise. Both sexes use this as a form of non-threatening communication, though females will normally make the sound when courting with a mate, letting them know they are in heat. This is used in conjunction with rubbing their distinct scent on their male mate.
One way to figure out whether an aircraft is biologically male or female is to check whether they have barbs on the back of their canine teeth. Though I wouldn't advise trying to force a jet's mouth open. You'll probably end up without an arm. XD
Keep in mind that my aircraft are a mixture of organic and mechanical components. These drawings will delve slightly into jet aircraft biology with the help of Lance and Dexter.

I don't think Dex would mind all that much either. It's Lance you've got to worry about. XD He's got a mouth full of sharp teeth and a very strong jaw to go with it. There's a reason other planes get scared when he snarls at them.

Wild fighter jets were very territorial and aggressive, especially if one were to threaten a male's mate. Though they may get along.

Dex can sort of purr. Lance can't. Chuffing sounds different to a purr and is used by jets in a different manner. Though Dexter seems to use it a lot more than our favourite Sarge.

Fighter jet's are predatory carnivores, though I haven't really thought much about prop aircraft.

This was a fun little drawing to do. It's interesting to think about what a jet's teeth would look like and how they'd work. Fighter aircraft fit well with being carnivores, though I do wonder what they'd eat.

Probably. They most likely used to prey on larger aircraft in packs made up of their specific models. Though they obviously wouldn't eat other planes anymore.

You sure wouldn't! He's very strong. XD Just stay on his good side and I'm sure you'll be fine. Lance has accidentally nipped Dex a bit too hard several times, I think he forgets that he has such sharp teeth. XD

He doesn't just bite Dex. He wouldn't mean to hurt the little plane. Sometimes Lance gets a bit carried away when they're getting busy. Normally a male will bite the scruff of their mate's neck as a way of holding onto them, hence the little barbs on the back of Lance's canine teeth.
