Hmmm if you mean by "flop" why they aren't as popular as your other species, I think it's mainly because of the lack of variety in anatomy with scrooshes. Yes there are lots of different styles and designs for the face, ears and tail, but the legs and body however seem to stay relatively the same. Compared to the ears, the legs are a bit less exciting to look at / draw? When you look at 11sins, there is a wide variety in body shapes, wings, hands and other stuff which makes a character interesting and fun to draw. The anatomy of Purrias look rather unique (from what I'm seeing atm) and the designs / shapes look super fun! So, maybe if you add / tweak some things onto the body / legs of scrooshes it might give some changes.
This is just my look on it tho, hope it gave you some idea's
Edit: Oh, I also noticed that most scroosh adopts are drawn in the same pose everytime. It kinda makes it hard for other users to imagine how these species would look like it other poses / environments. That might play a role in popularity?
