It's a robot dog.
Robot dogs, as a concept, have been around since sci-fi first started getting popular in the 1800s. K9 is a robot dog, he was introduced in the 70's, and there were a bazillion toys like this , this , and this in the 90's. Saying they're stealing the concept of a robot dog is like saying anyone who designs an android is ripping of I, Robot.
Unless the design has copied the exact same elements of the design you're claiming to have been stolen from (which this one has not - where are the round head, long forward-facing bull horns/ears, long tail and ball-joint legs on the design you claim to have been copied from? Where is the long, flat head, visible ribs, spine spokes, straight neck, and hollow abdomen on this one? The only thing similar is that they're silver and blue, but look at those toys I linked again, two are silver and blue, and both predate that art), you can't really claim that the idea of a robot canid has been stolen.

Species aren't really copyrighted. Just like Dutch Angel dragons may not have a muzzle ring, if you have one, then you character is not a Dutch Angel dragon. There's not official rules for this, the only bad thing is the shitstorm people will let over ya.

it could be inspired by, but it is in no way the same type of creature. The one you're sharing, looks more realistic, with parts and pistons for movement. This one is more whimsical. It's a metal doggo. So what if this is inspired by it or not? It is NOT the same thing. Stop trying to ruin some one's chances of selling the art they worked hard on.

I feel as if you attacked this person, for making a fairly unique adopt. The two are hardly similar and there is no reason this person needs to touch base with the owner of THAT species. They're not claiming that this adopt is that species. I think that it would have been better if you had messaged this artist instead of making a scene on their artwork. I'm simply defending their creativity, and you're trying to tear them down for it.
