Well, him and his face took a day and then his tattoos took awholenuther day. I Tried to make a dwarvish body, like making the hands bigger and the arms thicker and stuff. I hope I turned out all right. I also might add more tattoos to his other arm but right now I'm just going to sit back and enjoy the holidays. MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYBODY!(sorry i keep forgetting to add a decent background)

Nope, not random. It's the misty mountain song from the book. I'm glad some people have noticed, i thought I was just really nerdy.

Oh, good! I suspect I'm one of the VERY few people picky enough to be cranky about the longer version of it they stuck at the end of the movie, with lyrics by a far less skillful poet than J.R.R. himself.

I suppose I'm one of those few too. I also didn't like the singer. I think the dwarves had much manlier voices and pulled it off better.

Yeah, that closing singer had what I think of as a typical tenor voice--even though I don't know what register he was actually singing in.
I tend to prefer low, rich voices anyway, just as I do in orchestral instruments and pipe organs, but a lot of male tenors seem to have, hmm, thinner and more constricted voices, and this guy was one of 'em.
(I'm jealous of BOTH my sisters; I've got a tight little second-alto voice, but both of them are natural tenors who could stretch to a reasonable soprano with training. All of us are amateurs, mind you, but both of them (eight years apart) kept our high-school choir balanced when too many of the boy tenors' voices were breaking.)

You are spot on with the Dwarvish build. They are broader and thicker than the race of Men and more heavily muscled. I love the folds you did on his right side. It makes the pose look real. You have the face down as well. I love the thoughtful expression. The tats are well...brilliant! I can hardly wait to see it when you are finished, not that it isn't spectacular right now.

Found this on in the feed on my tumblr. Promptly choked on ice cream. First time that's happened. Always interesting to try new things. Anyway, picture. Yes. Love the tattoos. The body is contorted in a slightly awkward manner. Other than the contortion, the piece is lovely. I really love those tattoos.
