Almost certain it was not what was intended, but the face brings back fond memories of a Swedish children's book called The Story of Someone. It follows a line of red yarn through an apartment, tangled in increasingly unlikely places, until it finally ends with a cat curled up in a plant pot. The cover however gives the twist away, with two big yellow almond eyes peering through a keyhole. The face of the cat is uncannily similar - or at least, it is in my memory. Perhaps it adds to the impression that the barely visible, wash-like background reminds very much of styles and themes common in children's books in my youth. Seem to make out a block house, a church steeple, a modernist apartment block - it could well by the skyline of Uppsala, in literature well associated with cats.
There is no denying the power of art to stir memories and inspire reconsideration.
Well done.

Black cats are bad luck if you have one and want to go to the bathroom at night. As a child, I learned to shuffle in the dark because if you step on a black cat in the dark, it claws the shit out of your ankle. If you shuffle, you can find and step over the cat sprawled across the hot water pipe.
Good luck otherwise, though. And so fluffy and cute:
I miss him.

Yeah, I feel ya.Β I run into or step on my black cat often.Β Also I imagine if I were lying on the ground commonly I would get stepped on too, as I am also a black cat.
