     "I had that dream again Sheryl"
He adjusted his lenses to be sure it actually was Sheryl entering the room.

Sheryl went in placing her utensils and clipboard onto the stands occasionally getting her lab coat caught in the process.
"Which one?", she aked "The one with the roses or the one with the birds?"

"Neither silly, that was last week.  This was the one where I'm with that woman"

"Woman?"

"She was quite beautiful the way I remember, blue-green eyes and bright yellow hair. And then when the lights went dark she-she looked like me!"

"Well what do you think of this woman?", Sheryl replied having done this routine before.

"I-I don't know, I think she might be my, mother..... But I don't think I have a mother do I?"

"It would seem highly unlikely Charles"

For the longest time Charles wondered why Sheryl called him Charles but for some reason he never asked.  Besides its more fun to speculate.  And with that thought Sheryl took the needle and pumped the dark fluid into his arm, still strapped in.

"Do you think they'll let me out today?"

Sheryl smirked. "Its always about you isn't it?"

Charles the switched his lens back to low power as Sheryl had now moved much closer then before. Having yet to master the art of sarcasm he apologized immediatly.

"I'm sorry", he said looking at the floor briefly. "How was your day?"

"'You'll loose this, take that, loosen this, spread that' Your typical day of sexual harrasement from superiors. Why do you ask?"

Charles was suprised in her question as he was simply doing what she told him to do but he kept on digging

"I mean your application, how's that going?"

"Once again they only want graduates with more experience which makes no sense since no one will hire me which is how you gain experience.  What i really need is a letter of recomendation"

"I'd recomend you in a second Sheryl! After all you kept me in one peace."

He then tried to do his own awkward impression of a smile which proved more sincere then awkward.
But unfortunatly reality struck harder then it should have. Charles looked down at his arms. Not only did he not know how to write but it would have been physically impossible to do so even if he did.
Charles spun his chaingun and blades intrigued by these odd attatchements as if they were alien.
Sheryl was sure to break this trance.

"To answer your question you are scheduled for some target training today, but mabe I might be tempted to loose track of you."
Charles was confused.
"You might even wander off to pick some roses or go bird watching"

Charles' knees rocketed into the air with joy or at least they would have if they weren't strapped into the chair
Charles caught on
"Thankyou!" he said bouncing happily as she left

                                And with this Charles learned the concept of Bribery
