I always think that vanessa is NOT a gothic, she looks more like a secretary.

She's more of what I like to call "job interview gothic". Wearing black all the time, but avoiding the more outlandish parts of the fashion so she won't be going into her first job interview with wild hair colours and a barrage of piercings. That's how I went about (and still go about) my gothic phase.
