Description Rue and Primrose. I'm not really happy with how Prim came out, but I love how Rue looks.

Both look amazing! I particularly love the girl with the bird (sorry, I'm not that knowledgable in my HG characters…)

Oh, how I've missed your Hunger Games stuff I've been meaning to draw/write some more since I saw Mockingjay, but exams and lurgy and drawing people's holiday gifts and blah blah got in the way - watch this space

Rue looks adorably badass, and I have to say Prim is far closer to book than Willow Shields' portrayal of her; I personally really didn't like her, but maybe that's just me Β

Thank you! I forgot how much I missed drawing it. More to come in the future!

I thought she was spot on in the first movie, but after that I agree. She just didn't seem that invested in the part, and it made her hard to get into on screen. In fact rereading the books I've found similar problems with a lot of the younger cast members. The adults all kick ass, but Prim and Peeta and even Gale at times... I don't know if it's the actors or the writers, but it seems like they sucked out a lot of charm and charisma that made them compelling in the books.

You're welcome! FUck yeah

I was honestly so surprised at how much I cried at her death - honestly, I think it was more Katniss' reaction. I was just so unattached to her, and she came off as almost slightly bratty a lot of the time. Yeah, I wasn't all too attached to a lot of District characters; as you know, most of my favourites are from the Capitol, and outside of this it's probably Johanna, Paylor, and Pollux (oh Jesus fucking Christ, I was surprised I didn't flood the fucking cinema when Castor died and you could see Jackson and Cressida holding him back for pretty much a split second - it killed me ) and I think it was down a lot to the acting. I hated Gale; I wasn't the biggest fan of him in the books, and while his acting was good if he was going for brooding, miserable teenager, Liam Hemsworth just sucked out any appeal which he previously had.Β

It felt like someone was trying to rip my heart out during that scene with Buttercup. Having been in that position where you don't really get the chance to grieve until something hits you just right, I related a lot to that scene and JLaw's performance there was just stellar.

Oh god, Pollux... It's not so much the deaths themselves, but the scars they leave in the people who loved them. This series did a great job showing that.

Agreed. Dude, there's a war happening and an evil dictator to depose. Quit worrying about whether or not your best friend wants to bang you for cripes sake. Of course I could say something similar to Katniss. I forgot how much love triangle drama was in Mockingjay.

That was what really got me. I dry-sobbed through a good chunk of the film, but I shed real tears at that moment. Jen is such a phenomenal actress

Fuuuuyuck I just loved his character to bits, and his casting helped this along so much - the actor they hired (can't remember his name for the life of me) made him seem like such a sweet person to be around, so I just got so attached to him. It just tore me apart, but then again I am glad that he got out of it alive

At least Katniss got on with it because she actually cared about destroying the Capitol regime; not about trying to convince somebody to let her get in his pants I'm not the biggest Katniss fan, but I think I definitely liked her the best in Mockingjay II

Same here, especially after MJ I. I get that she was still traumatized, but you'd think after seeing her District in ashes and the Capitol blow up a hospital full of people she'd have bigger picture worries; instead it's all 'he's gonna kill Peeta, he's gonna kill Peeta!' Girl, Peeta's the kind of guy who'd gladly sacrifice himself for the greater good. You love him so much you ought to know that... She definitely pulled up her big-girl pants in MJ II.
