Description Holy shitballs another actual background!!!!!!11ONE!! Granted it's not as good as my last one, but whatever. It's the idea of me investing that kind of time into a piece that makes it so effing amazing. The sky makes me want to punch a dire horse, but I'll blame the shitty coloured pencils I'm trying to use up. Just pretend the sky's a little hazy.

That's Benny the Viperwolf hiding from the commotion. Kind of a look into his past and why he was so happy to get off Pandora.

I still can't get the dire horse's colours right, but I like how he turned out otherwise. For those who haven't seen the film, they don't do that. But they do have the fin things flat on their shoulders, and I came to the hair-brained conclusion that they were for mating, threat, or defense display or all of the above.

Oh dear... Benny I think it'd be best of you scooted further into the tree roots in that nook there... This likes like things are gonna get ugly pretty quick.

Nicely done Foxy, and I think the sky looks pretty good still. ^ ^

That's one awesome background. It's good that Benny got out of Pandora.

Well considering how they describe Earth in the film, I'll gladly take his place on lovely Pandora... Thank you!

Yeah, those references to humans having 'killed their mother' unleashed a huge wave of associations and images of this barren place that doesn't nourish the way the earth does anymore. Would've liked to see James Camerons ideas of what life on earth would be like.

Since he's planning on doing a sequel I kind of hope he'll show what Earth looks like. I was hoping it wouldn't be a series though. They never leave anything as a one-shot-deal nowadays... back to the original point: That line made my hair stand on end. The sad thing is that if people like Quarich (sp?) ran things that's where Earth would end up.

The way I see it, with the amount of money the RDA blew on Pandora, nothing short of a Comstock Lode of Unobtainium could stimulate Earth's economy. And then the shipments stop altogether, and the megacorps all start declaring war on each other for the remaining supply, and one thing leads to another, and next thing you know, it's the opening to T2 all over again. In that sense movies like that have a strong message for mankind not to be take Earth for granted, and not to treat her or fellow human beings like resources to consume. Obviously we use some resources because otherwise life would be pretty primitive, but there are better ways to do it then how the movie demonstrates.

I got really excited about the sequel, because I also hope they will get into the history in more detail. It was the 22th century right? Lots could have happened in between.

Good, history and background is what I'm craving most when it comes to the film. I'd also LOVE a Discovery Channel-like documentary on the livestyles of the animals on the planet.
