I truly hope Kishimoto-san is turning Sasuke against Konoha, as a plot-point so that he later can go say *SURPRISE* "I wasn't really a konoha-hater, now Naruto, let's kill Madara together and get this overwith!"

Yeah, I'm a sucker for happy endings.

Otherwise I would have to think Sasuke is giant ducebag (I'll give hime the benefit of the doubt for now) : but the fact that Itachi, his beloved brother, dies in the name of keeping the peace.
And teaming up with Madara who was responsible for Naruto's parents dying long before Itachi killed off the uchiha-clan.
And Itachi hated Madara enough to try and kill him from beyond the grave >D
