Description
"Would you leave me alone?!" A young girl yelled as she ran though the streets of the Seireitei. Her eyes looked left and right for some place to hide.
"Not until you fight me!" A man yelled as he chased after the female soul reaper. His black hair was pulled into several spikes on his head and an eye patch lay over his right eye.
"I just fought you this morning!" You cried turning faster. How the heck did it end up like this? When you found out you would be in the eleventh squad, you couldn't have been happier. You loved to fight, but it seems there was some in your squad who loved it even more. That was your new Captain, Kenpachi Zaraki. Ever since he first saw you fight third seat, Ikkaku Madarame, he took up asking you every day to fight. At first you would happily fight him. He was one of the strongest Soul Reapers, but then he started to ask you several times a day, sometime before you could rest or heal your wounds.
"That one doesn't count!" Kenpachi yelled not giving up the chase.
"Doesn't count?!"
"Ikkaku interrupted our fight."
"You would have killed me if he hadn't!"
"I would never try to kill you." You heard Kenpachi mumble.
You glanced over your shoulder and noticed that Kenpachi's grin was gone. You were going to say something, when his grin returned ten folds. You gulped. "Why are you smirking like that?"
"Look behind you."
You spun around and stopped short as you realized you were at a dead end. "Damn it."
Kenpachi placed a hand on his sword. "Looks like a caught you."
You looked around for some escape, but found none. "Why the hell are there even dead ends in the Seireitei?!"
"So are you going to fight or not?"
You sighed placing your hand on your sword. "I guess I have no choice." You pulled your sword out of its sheath.
Kenpachi chuckled. "About time." Kenpachi drew his sword, but before he could charge at you, a voice interrupted.
"Kenny!" A childish voice yelled. From a near by roof, a pink blur attack Kenpachi. "I found you!"
"Yachiru," Kenpachi looked at the little pink haired girl that was now perched on his shoulder, "why are you here? I was about to fight (Name)."
Yachiru pouted slightly. "I'm sorry Kenny, but a captain's meeting was just called. We have to go now."
Kenpachi sheathed his sword. "Alright." He looked over at you. "We'll continue this when I get back." He then turned and ran off with Yachiru.
"Bye!" Yachiru yelled waving at you. You waved back until the two of them disappeared around a corner.
You sighed putting your sword away. "I owe you Yachiru." You returned to the eleventh squad to relax before Kenpachi got back. Once you arrived, you saw Ikkaku and fifth seat Yumichika Ayasegawa talking outside.
"Oh there she is." Ikkaku said as he saw you walking towards them. Yumichika also turned to look at you. "So you got away from him?"
You shook your head. "No I ran into a dead end."
Ikkaku started laughing. "That's hilarious!" You twitched and growled as he continued to laugh.
Yumichika broke in before you could hurt Ikkaku. "Then how did you get away uninjured (Name)?"
You calmed down. "Thankfully, Yachiru found us and told him that there was a captain's meeting."
Ikkaku stopped laughing. "You got off lucky (Name)."
"I know." You crossed your arms. "Why is it always me? Why can't the Captain challenge you guys instead?"
"You are the newest member of the squad." Yumichika explained. "Captain already knows how Ikkaku and I fight."
You tilted your head. "I guess so."
"I thought you liked fighting?" Ikkaku asked.
"Of course I do, but captain challenges me about three to four times a day." Your shoulders slumped. "Sometimes, I don't even get to rest before he wants to fight again." Ikkaku and Yumichika shared a look. "What?"
"Well," Yumichika paused, "it's just that doesn't sound like the Captain."
You raised an eyebrow. "I thought Captain Zaraki loves to fight more then anything in the world."
"He does," Ikkaku spoke up, "but Captain wouldn't ask the same person to fight twice in one day. He couldn't get the best out of the second fight if he did."
You blinked. "Then why does he keep challenging me?"
The bald Soul Reaper shrugged. "How the hell should I know?"
"Thanks for the help Ikkaku." You said sarcastically. "I'm going to go rest in my room. Captain will want to fight when he gets back." You started to walk away from the two soul reapers.
"Good luck with that (Name)!" Ikkaku yelled laughing. You shook your head, not responding to him. You entered your room and shut the door behind you. You pulled your zanpakuto out of your belt and set it next to your bed. You then fell onto your bed and closed your eyes.
"So your captain has taken interest in you?"
"Yeah." You opened one eye and look at the person sitting next to you. A girl about your age sat crossed legged looking down at you. She had short light blue hair that fell to her chin and piercing blue eyes locked with yours. She wore a white tank top and white baggy pants. "What do you think Fuzei?"
The zanpakuto spirit glanced up at the ceiling. "Your friends might have a point. Your captain certainly wants to fight you over anyone else." Fuzei smirked. "Why does it matter? You know you like all his attention."
You felt your face burn and you looked away from her. "I don't know what you're talking about."
"Huh, then why is your face so red?" Your face got redder. "And you seem to enjoy fighting with him and there is that one time you had that dream."
You whipped around to look at her, your face on fire. "Fuzei!"
Fuzei laughed. "Just try and deny it." She tapped her temple. "I'm part of you hun, I know what your thinking."
You looked down at your lap. "It doesn't matter. The Captain only cares about fighting."
"I'm not so sure about that." You looked over at Fuzei, but she was gone.
"Fuzei?" Your door was suddenly slammed open.
"(Name)!" There in the doorway stood you're fighting obsessed captain. "It's time for our fight."
You sighed. There was no way you were going to get out of this one. "Fine. Let's go to the training grounds." You grabbed your zanpakuto and stood up. You and Kenpachi walked down the training ground. Many members of the squad, including Ikkaku, Yumichika and Yachiru, followed you two to the training grounds to see the fight. Once you both got to the training ground you stood facing each other. The Soul Reapers formed a large circle around the grounds staying far back enough so that they wouldn't get hurt in the cross fire.
Kenpachi grinned. "I was waiting for this during the entire meeting."
"I figured as much." You drew your sword. "Shall we start?"
Kenpachi drew his own sword "Let's not hold back." He reached up and ripped the eye patch off causing his spirit pressure to increase dramatically. A few of the weaker Soul Reapers dropped to their knees, but you were easily able to stay on your feet. You've fought Kenpachi enough to be able to withstand the spirit pressure.
"Alright then, let's go all out." You held your sword over your head pointing straight up into the air. "Blow it all away! Fuzei!" A large tornado formed around you. Your body floated up into the center of the tornado and your sword fell to your side. The wind would have ripped a normal person apart, but you just felt a gently breeze that played with your hair and ruffled your clothes.
Kenpachi chuckled. "That's more like it!" Kenpachi's aura formed a skull behind him. "This will be fun!" He charged forward with his sword pointed to the right, laughing to himself.
"Tear him apart!" You swung your sword from your left shoulder diagonally to the right. The tornado broke away from you and flew at Kenpachi incasing him inside. Kenpachi didn't have the pleasure of feeling a breeze inside, no he felt the full power of the tornado around him. You landed on your feet and looked over at him. Kenpachi's clothes were getting ripped up and several cuts were appearing on his skin. His blood swirled around in the wind, turning the tornado a faint red.
Kenpachi hadn't stopped laughing though. "I knew this would be fun!" Kenpachi started to rapidly slash at the wall of the tornado in front of him. You lost count of how many times he attacked the wall, but it worked, the tornado broke and disappeared. Kenpachi was bleeding heavily from numerous different places, but it had no effect on his ability to fight.
"You just won't stay down." You held your sword up and another tornado appeared around you, lifting you into the air.
Kenpachi smirked widely showing off his sharp teeth. "You're the one in the air (Name). Why don't you come down and fight?"
"Sure I'll come down." The wind in the tornado started to spin faster. "After I defeat you!"
"I'd love to see that happen." The fight between the two of you continued for hours. The sun had long since set and most of the Soul Reapers had wondered off getting bored of just watching the fight. The only people who were still left were Ikkaku, Yumichika and Yachiru.
You stood panting. Your left arm was bleeding badly as well as your right side. There were also several smaller cuts all over your body and a pretty nasty bruise on your right wrist. "Aren't we done yet?"
"Of course not." Kenpachi wasn't any better off then you. His shirt and captain's jacket were long gone thanks to your wind. He had two long deep cuts on his chest, going from his left shoulder to his right hip, bleeding badly. His left side and right forearm were bruised and he had several cuts all over. "Both of us are still standing."
You sat down placing your sword at your side. "No, I'm sitting and I don't have the energy to get back." You looked up at him. "Fights over. You win." Kenpachi grin shrunk slightly. Before he could say anything you both heard a loud yawn. You glanced over and saw that it had been Yachiru who had yawned.
Yachiru rubbed her eyes. "I'm sleepy."
"Take her to her room." Kenpachi ordered.
Ikkaku picked up Yachiru. "Come on shrimp."
"Don't call me shrimp, badly."
Ikkaku's eyebrow twitched. "You littleβ¦"
Yumichika took Yachiru from Ikkaku's arms. "We'll put her to sleep Captain. Come on Ikkaku." Yumichika turned and walked away with Ikkaku following behind him.
Kenpachi turned back to you. "Get up."
You didn't budge. "No way, we've been fighting for hours and I fought you this morning too."
"Our fights not over."
You looked up at him. "Why do you want to fight me all the time? Ikkaku and Yumichika told me that was abnormal of you to want to same person several times a day."
Kenpachi looked away. "There's no reason, your fun to fight that's all."
"But you can't get the best fight out of me when you challenge me one fight right after another." You grabbed your sword and stood up. "There's another reason you want to fight me so much, isn't there?" Kenpachi didn't answer. "Captain."
"Kenpachi."
You blinked. "What?"
Kenpachi looked back at you. "I want you to call me by my name." He grabbed your left wrist and pulled you close to him, causing you to gasp and drop your sword as your chest bumped into his. "The reason I always want to fight you is to get your attention." Your eyes widened. "When you fight me you have to look at me and no one else."
Your body relaxed. "You are an idiot." You looked up at him. "You always had my attention, even when we weren't fighting."
Kenpachi grinned reappeared on his face. "That's good to know." Kenpachi then slammed his lips on yours and wrapped his arms tightly around you, being careful of your side. You flung your arms around his neck pulling yourself closer to him. Kenpachi's tongue forced its way into your mouth and searched around before it wrapped around your own tongue. You moaned digging your nails into the back of his neck, causing Kenpachi to groan.
You slowly pulled away, but kept your face close to his. "So does this mean you'll stop chasing me around?"
Kenpachi chuckled. "Don't count on it." Kenpachi pulled you close, kissing you again and forcing his tongue back into your mouth. You moaned, happily kissing him back. Who knew that being chased around by a fight obsessed captain could to something like this? Well, you weren't complaining. You loved your bloody captain and he was all yours now.
