Are you using Maya?
Btw what are the advantages/disadvantages of using NURBS? Never looked so much into it as our tutor said that you use polygons 99% of the time.

Love the way you worked out the hip structure. Much like a modeling figurine, but with more finesse.

Thank you .
This project will allow me to show jenny in ways the fans will never see on TV .

No , I am only using MAYA 2009 .
Dont worry , those parts will be re-worked , when I convert them to polygons .
NURBS are good but they have their limitations

ujinko [2008-11-11 19:47:00 +0000 UTC]
im use NURBS only by the basic shape,
later i convert to poly and continue with detail.
you will animate jenny?
or just model and maybe texturing and setup ^__^?

My idea is to make some animations with her .
but first , I will produce some nice renders .
this model will help me with my future drawings , and with my real sculpture of her

cool ^__^, are you doing a real sculpture of jenny, i wanna see ^_^.
i use maya for modeling but by now i can't work because i have no time,
i work doing web comics ^__^, i like to make some 3D cartoons too, by now i have only some rough models.
if you export this jenny for Zbrush, maybe you can add a lot more details in an easy way ^__^.

yes ..in the past , I used nurbs to model entire robots .
not even a single polygon.

I'm an MFA student majoring in 3D Modeling at AAU. I still have a ways to go, and have modeled only one robot so far. I used a mixture of polygons and NURBS. I also modeled a car almost entirely in NURBS, then converted it to polygons. That also works very well, and keeps those nice, accurate, smooth curves when you convert correctly.
