After reading book 5 of Amulet, I think that I've officially begun to ship max/layra. God his backstory is kinda sad..doesn't excuse him for being a douche though

Yup-in the beginning I though that Max was kinda a self absorbed traitor/douche but after reading book 5 i'm kind of glad that Kazu put more depth into this character. I guess it shows that not everybody is born into 'evil' afterall

Yeah, I keep on trying to tell everyone that he was Possessed! but they just won't listen! I'm glad that the WHOLE world doesn't hate max! What about his FEELS?

Well, I wouldn't for certain say he was possessed...but certainly coerced by the voice as it persuaded him to give in to revenge. And the fact that he spent 50 years in an ice prison also helps to amp the sympathy factor that some fans have for him...although I'll admit that he has quite a bad past (and his relationship with his father is very strained), he still does horrible, horrible things for the elf king. So in the end, I'm still gonna root for Emily (though I'll be sad if he dies-time will tell if Kazu will off him)
Ps: Just wondering but does anybody know when the next book is coming out? I thought that it was supposed to come out during september/autumn time?

I'm not sure exactly when it's coming out. But I'm still waiting. I know He's not TECHNICALLY possessed, but I still don't really care. I REALLY hope thatΒ Kazu doesn't kill Max off. He's one of my favorite characters. If he DOES I'm just going to pretend that it never happened. Because I REALLY like this guy! So I'm going to ignore the fact he dies if he does.

BTW, I'm sort of starting a new points commissions business and I was just wondering, but should I ask clients to pay first before I draw or draw first and then ask them to pay? I personally side for the first idea but I want to see what other people would think about it.

it REALLY would suck if Max died. He's an awesome character! His life sucked, he was frozen last-airbender style, I am seriously waiting for him to pull the anti-hero card.
