wow that's totally cool I thought about visiting Kyoto as well at least for 5 days, so we could spend some time together, a day or few hours or whatever you wish - I don't want to abuse your free time and hospitality you do are too kind sweetie for me

of course we will be in touch I have too much questions and have to think what to ask first

I think for Kyoto 3 days could be enough... I will send you list of all things to see, and I have friend there too - and, around Kyoto there is Osaka, Hiroshima and Miyajima which are worth seeing.. anyway, I will show you (or point you at) things around Tokyo and all the cool places tourists usually don`t find as much as I can
I`ll send you my e-mail address so feel free to ask whatever

we are still making planes about our big trip
Tokyo and Kyoto will visit for sure, Osaka sounds nice and it's near Kyoto but I found Hiroshima and Miyajima a little bit far away I saw Miyajima on Google Earth and it's pretty awesome place
But maybe you know, if there is any ultra rapid train to go there very fast from Tokyo or Kyoto?
The major problem is nobody of our 4 speaks japanese and I heard very few Japanese knows english. My idea was take my little macbook and use spanish-japanese automatic traductor if we are in troubles with conversations I have to for sure learn few simple phrases too

First thing, is to find a hotel or apartment for staying and then, planning what to visit Then I'll make you a millions of questions
What do you know about public transport in Tokyo? What's faster and more effective, trains or busses or metro? <-- that's the first one

first of all sorry for late reply -

public transport in Tokyo - trains are the best, and (trust me) quite easy to use. same as metro, but goes above ground, which is cool, since you can see a lot metro is second best, then buses - usually they are just connecting train stations with some other parts of city.

do not worry about not speaking Japanese. of course that most of tourist do not know single word, and still, they are all safe and not lost around Japan also, it is safe to walk in middle of night and people are generally friendly and will help you even if they don`t speak English. they will, you will see

there must be super speedy train to Hiroshima from Kyoto. shinkansen (bullet train) connects all major cities. but it might be also super expensive. good way to travel are also night buses cheap and comfortable, and you do not waste your daytime in traveling

oh don't worry about late reply - it's really not late for me few days, no worries
first, thanx and for the info I take the note
I read there is a one/two week ticket for majority of transport media: metro, buses and trains. Quite expensive (about 200 euros) but if we will traveling a lot and if a bullet train is included - I'd buy it
anyway, this weekend I arrange a meeting with my friends to look exactly what they want to visit and where we are going to stay I'll let you know about the results

I know that most of tourists buy it, so it must be worth it and majority of trains in Tokyo are JR, so you can use it a lot even just in Tokyo bullet train is included
