To celebrate my birthday of me turning 22, this is a piece I made.

Representing me and what I do.....sometime....oh, and Steam Lad is there too, I guess.

Name: Steam Lad.
Age: 600 ( Looks around 12 or 13 years old ).
Born: Cambodia, 1422.
Species: Unknown.

Steam Lad is a mysterious, boy entity, residing in the deepest, jungle area of Cambodia in Southeast Asia.
The boy goes by the name “Steam Lad” and is often considered the protector of a mysterious gateway.
A gateway that leads to many unknowns.
Steam Lad is a layback, social individual. Despite his isolation among men, he can quite get converse with any of those who encounter him. Sometimes, these can be casual talks or friendly greets, although rarely he can be aggressive.
He can be mute in some responses or remaining neutral.
Steam Lad is part of a group of entities known as the Steam Children’s. As to what they are, nobody knows. Some believe them to be ancient robots, pre-dating the advancement of technology in the future.
Whatever the case, with all Steam Children’s they possessed the ability to strengthen their durability and speed by the usage of their cranes to boost their steams.
Their steams, while may appear to be ordinary steams, are quite mystical and magical, which allows them to live without the substance of food and being unfazed by disease.
Despite these abilities, Steam Lad's most noticeable appearance is his lack of eyes.
Regardless of his blindness, he didn’t mind it. In fact, he uses his senses to help him guide his way.
He even wields a sword that allows him to see, although only for alerting situations.
His background is quite unknown, as there are little documents of it, and the fact he’s the only one to know about his own true origin.
What is known is he was created by a ruthless, corrupted ruler to be forced to construct a war machine.
He, along with some of his own kind, were put to work on the machine. Compared to his own siblings, he was abused due to his deformity by his own creator and was somewhat shunned for it.
It wasn’t until that fateful day that he would meet with an alien name Onyx, after freeing him from the clutches of his creator.
This led to him questioning himself and his loyalty, leading to the eventual betrayal of his own creator, and him being free from her control.
There, he resided within the jungle. Taking the liking of the many animals in the surrounding.

“I’ve been protecting this gateway and jungle for many centuries. Been protecting it from evil forces like Cherieng or preventing those escaping from the gateway like the likes of Captain Jouvural. So after having been stuck in a position where I risk my entire life to protect a gateway from those trying to control it, and me having witnessed a lot of trauma in like…... .I'll say it's an okay job, I guess. Nothing to do but sleep, eat, guard, stroll, observe, wash, and whatnot” - Steam Lad.
