yay, hunting for treasures!Back to my usual stuff, I guess. I just had to submit something to =environaut 's terraspace contest. He supplied the contestants with a fabulous render and let us have a go at it. ----> [link] I was just messing with lens flares a bit, and that it actually looked good. Originally I wanted to use the standard ps lens flare, but =RoyalBlade persuaded me to make my own. It came out okay, I think.
I might up-load a detail collage or perhaps a wallpaper or something later.
Comments and all that are treasured.

Looks absolutely gorgeous! and did you leave your mobile phone down there? Your lens flare looks really good but i have no idea how you'd go about making your own.
Just wondering, kind of getting used to the whole PS thing, how do you taking someone's stock and turn it into texture, because i cant seem to figure it out.

omg dude that is incredible, how did you make that narly nebula, that lens flare you made is deffinatly good, only thing i have to say about it i dun like that greenish ring, but still its an incredible job on the flare
and those little details like the blimp, the jeep, the eagle and the people are just sick, i never understood how someone can make those look so real!!! are they just stock???
the planet work is killer and those cracks make your surface have a certain distinction!!!

hah, that's great. The blimp was stock, but painted over almost entirely because the quality of the original picture sucked

What I can think of is that you need a bit more different size of stars...umm and the bird looks a bit weird..well that's pretty much it

This is pretty good. the lens flare is a little disturbing, mainly becouse of it's color i think, kinda draws all the attention to it. The planets are great and the other element are blended into the terrain perfectly creating a nice depth

Hey sweet idea. I like the little mini van and the people walking thats cool! I have a couple of crits if you don't mind. The blimp is fabolous by the way but I think it should have some type of shadow on the terragen render. Also I think the star field is a little plain but that nebulae is sweet and color.
